reACT is a Vancouver based coalition of professional artists committed to the creation of performance art through collaboration, discovery, and artistic risk.
As an ensemble, we resolve to take on all facets of creating new works, providing our members the opportunity to act, write, direct, design and produce.
Our goal is to develop projects for our audiences that provoke debate, stimulate discussion, stir emotion and entertain.

Ryan Cowie
Ryan is very excited to be a co-founder of reACT theatre ensemble and to work with his close friends, James and Nelson. He believes any endeavor is far more fruitful conceived and worked on with friends and people who share the same passion.
Ryan studied at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City and attributes his enthusiasm and zest for acting to the undying support and love from his family and friends. Ryan also has a sense of humour.
James Wilson
James brings a broad scope of experience to reACT, ranging from achieving a BSc in Environmental Studies (Biol.) from the University of Winnipeg, to participating as the fourth generation in Wilson Furniture (a family-owned, quality and service oriented retail firm) and more recently, pursuing an acting career in Calgary, New York and Vancouver.
Being a part of the formation of reACT is part of an ongoing evolution of his desire to develop as an artist and to contribute to the creative landscape.

Chris Sias
Chris has a BA in Theatre from the University of Southern Maine. After spending a few years in NYC, he now finds himself in Vancouver and a core member of reACT.
Theatre has always been about working with creative, energetic, and talented people for him, and he's grateful to be in that environment again here with reACT.

Nelson Carter-Leis
Co-creating reACT theatre is a dream realized for Nelson. He has loved the theater since childhood and for many years has wanted to have a collective he could call home.
Nelson studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. He brings to this collective an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for creating theater that inspires.
